Managing DVM
Dr. Jessica Dias
Dr. Jessica Dias grew up in western Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001. Before pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, she spent several years working in the dynamic fields of neuropsychology, immunology, and stem cell research. In 2013, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Dias moved to Los Angeles, where she gained invaluable experience at a 24-hour emergency hospital while participating in a rotating internship.
She returned to the Pioneer Valley and joined the team at Northampton Veterinary Clinic in 2016. In 2021, Dr. Dias became the clinic’s Managing Doctor and Medical Director, a role in which she leads the medical team and helps guide the hospital’s growth and standards of care. She is dedicated to delivering the highest quality medicine and building long-term, trusting relationships with patients and their families. Her current professional interests include soft tissue surgery, diagnostic ultrasound, allergies and dermatology and cardiology, and she is passionate about providing comprehensive, collaborative care that improves pets’ quality of life.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Dias is deeply involved in community service. She has volunteered with local fire and rescue teams, providing training on the care of injured police dogs, and serves as President of the Leeds Elementary School PTO, where she focuses on securing funding for students and teachers and fostering community engagement through events.
Outside of work, Dr. Dias enjoys yoga, hiking, cycling, music, gardening, and downhill skiing, and is always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
