Dr.
Ellie Shelburne earned her BA in Biology at Yale
University in 1989 followed by her DVM from Michigan
State University in 1993. She practiced small animal
medicine in Oregon for 7 years. While in Oregon, Ellie
co-founded the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, a nonprofit
organization dedicated to spaying and neutering homeless
cats. In practice, Ellie has a special interest in feline
internal medicine and smaller creatures such as rabbits and rats. She enjoys her life in Northampton with her husband, three children, 2 cats,
1 dog, one cockatiel, one hamster and an aquarium full of fish.

Dr.
Lori Paporello is a 1996 graduate of Michigan State
College of Veterinary Medicine and a 1990 graduate of
Boston University School of Law. She practiced small
animal veterinary medicine in Oregon for 4 years where
she served as President of the Feral Cat Coalition of
Oregon from 1998-2000. Lori's professional interests
are in small animal internal medicine and geriatrics.
Dr. Paporello has a special interest in ultrasound and
has completed educational courses in abdominal ultrasound,
echocardiography and telemedicine. Her family includes a daughter, Lanie, born in 2003, a mixed breed dog named Jada and her kitties, Cecil and Scout.

Dr. Leanne
Ksiazek joined Northampton Veterinary Clinic
in 2002 after spending twelve years at a 24-hour specialty & general
practice in Delaware. She is a 1990 graduate of the
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Her special
interests include surgery, dentistry, behavior and emergency
care. She especially enjoys the
variety and challenges of general practice and the
wonderful
opportunity to participate in the well being of animals.
Dr. Ksiazek lives with her partner, Sandra Leiser, and three dogs, two German Shepherds, Quick and Nymble, and a shepherd mix named Mac. She also lives with three cats,
Purna, Peak and Picket. In her spare time she loves biking, hiking
with her dogs and canine agility training.

Dr. Mary Connor joined our practice in October of 2008. She received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston-Tufts University in 1989, and then her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Arts in 1992. In May of 2007, Dr. Connor received her DVM from Lousiana State University where she was presented with the Proficiency in Emergency and Critical Care Award. Dr. Connor then moved to Western Massachusetts and worked at Hampden Veterinary Clinic for a year before accepting a position at the Northampton Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Connor has special interests in Internal Medicine, soft tissue surgery and client education. She enjoys learning new things every day and providing the highest standard of care to help people and their animal companions. She spends her life with her spouse, Sherri, twins Evan & Ayden, and new baby, Avery. Her four footed companions include a Belgian Sheepdog, Emmee and four felines, Felix, Olive, Oscar and Linus. In addition to her work and family time, Dr. Connor enjoys gardening, reading, art and craft projects as well as spending time outdoors.
